Dubai is easily one of the most exciting places I have visited so far. The glamorous lifestyle lived by many of the residents of Dubai, will leave you mesmerised. With so many beautiful buildings to see, great places to shop and amazing places to dine, you will never have a dull moment in Dubai.
With so much to see and do, it can be overwhelming to make a decision on what you should do first and what you have to try whilst your visiting.

How long have you lived in Dubai and what makes it such an amazing city to live in ?
I was born in Dubai and moved to Australia when I was quite young. After I finished my education in Perth Western Australia I decided to move back to Dubai to establish my career. I have been back in Dubai for about 4 years now and love it. Moving back to Dubai was a scary experience like it is moving to any new city however it’s quite easy to meet new people here due to the large number of expats. You learn about so many different cultures as Dubai has suchh a diverse mix of different nationalities!
What are your favourite night spots in Dubai and about Dubai Nightlife ?
Despite the Muslim culture here in the United Arab Emirates , Dubai has got to have one of the best nightlife scenes I have ever experienced. Ladies nights are very big here so if you are a woman in Dubai you can visit the most popular bars and nightclubs and enjoy free beverages and canapés the entire evening.
My recommendations are;
Clubs – Mahiki , Armani Privé, Pacha Ibiza Dubai
Bars – Buddha Bar, Bar hopping around Madinat Jumeirah (which is the Arabic Venice), Barasti Beach Bar, 360 Jumeirah Beach Hotel
Ladies night – China Grill, The Westin Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina
What are your favourite food spots in Dubai ?
Since Dubai has such a strong multiculturalism influence they have accommodated to all sorts of taste buds. Throughout the city you can find a variety of restaurants which makes it hard to pick a favourite as we are spoilt for choice! So I have chosen a few that are must try whilst visiting Dubai.
Indian/French fusion – Tresind
Contemporary Japanese -Zuma
Peruvian – Coya Contemporary
Mexican– Fuego Dubai
Casual dining – Social House
European/ British– Bread street kitchen
What are your “Must Try’s” when staying in Dubai?
1. Visit the Aquaventure or Wild Wadi Water Park
2. A Desert Safari
3. Go to the top of the Burj Khalifa
4. Visit the Dubai mall and watch the fountain show (it moves to selected music every hour)
5. Experience the Old Dubai and visit the Gold souk
6. Weekend Brunches
7. Sky Dive (If your brave enough)
Any tips for people visiting Dubai who may not be familiar with the Middle Eastern culture?
Dubai is always mistaken for being extremely conservative but it is the completely the wrong perception! It is just advised that tourists and expats are to be mindful and respectful to the Muslim culture by dressing modestly when visiting public places and not display heavy public affection.
If Visiting the United Arab Emirates during Ramadan please make sure to be vigilant of the rules such as no eating or drinking in public before Sunset.
Last but not least… Have Fun
