Tamara Shanthikumar and Simon Lai have taken the next step in providing the people of Perth with an opportunity to improve their nutrition and their intake of fruits, vegetables and berries.

The duo have sought to promote a healthier way of living in combination with their secret weapon, Juice Plus. Incorporating whole food based nutrition, Juice Plus uses  fruits vegetables, berries and grains through freeze drying at a specific temperature to retain nutrients vegan capsules.

Easy to take with amazing health benefits,  they bridge the gap between the recommended *daily consumption of fruit  & vegetables to the increased combination we should actually be consuming.

I was fortunate enough to be invited to Tamara and Simon’s healthy living launch where they presented some of the incredible healthy journeys with beautiful, fresh and delicious food.

What does being healthy to you mean? 

Being healthy to us, means to have a solid balance between mind, body and soul. To fuel our bodies with the right nutrition and have the energy and vitality to live our lives everyday. This also includes being able to have the occasional treat and not depriving ourselves. Its all about balance and eating for energy!

Where did you stumble across Juice Plus?

My dad had a heart attack a few years ago and as part of his change in lifestyle he started taking the product and noticed a dramatic improvement in his health!

How has it changed your life and your health? 

Since taking juice plus, we have both experienced significant/ sustained increases in our energy levels, improved quality in sleep, clearer skin, stronger hair and nails and decreased fatigue- increasing our productivity in the day! We’ve also noticed that we have increased cravings for fruits and veggies – which is an added bonus when making healthier choices!

Do you have any advice you can offer to people who are wanting to adopt a healthier lifestyle but don’t know where to start?

Start off slow: Taking small steps to improve your health will be more achievable than making drastic changes all at once as you will be more likely to stick to them! For example, adding more water into your diet by infusing with fruit and mint – a delicious way to drink more water each day.

Write realistic goals: Take a few minutes out of your time to figure out what’s most important to you as a result, and why it is so important to you? Your goals should be specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and anchored with a time frame.

Have a support group: Surround yourself with a supportive group of people that are going to encourage you to stick to your goals and work towards them each and everyday.
